Cayucos CA

Cayucos is a small seaside town which is often unnoticed by travelers going up and down Highway One. Those who “get off the interstate” are delighted in their discovery and are often reluctant to tell their friends – akin to striking gold. Cayucos offers magnificent sunsets especially in winter with the high clouds of passing storms. The weather is mostly sunny and clear September through May with intermittent fog during the summer months. Temperatures range for 40 to 95 but are generally in the mid 60's year round. So dress warmly. A sweater or sweatshirt should suffice. The Cayucos dress code is extremely casual. REALTORs®, dentists, CEOs frequently wear jeans. Cayucos is a place to relax, kick your shoes off and stroll down the beach arm in arm with your sweetheart, picking up sea shells, watching dolphins, seals, and whales swim just beyond the surf, and soak in the natural beauty which surrounds you. If for some insane reason you find this boring, Cayucos offers the best waves for surfers. Surfboards, boogie boards, kayaks, wet suits, and more are all available to rent. Cayucos also has a number of fine restaurants when you return from your beach adventure. Be sure to visit the local artist studio at the Vets Hall as you take a day for shopping.
